Finnish Prime Minister Matti Vanhanen will participate in the Nordic Globalization Forum scheduled to open in Sweden on April 8-9, said the Finnish government in a statement.
The forum, hosted by Swedish Prime Minister Fredrik Reinfeldt, will focus on globalization initiatives and challenges faced by the Nordic region in the light of economic trends, climate change and energy issues, it said.
Ministers responsible for Nordic cooperation and representatives of the Nordic Council, the Nordic business community, news media and higher education institutions will also be invited to attend the forum.
