A MiG-29 military aircraft crashed on Thursday in Kecskemet, Central Hungary while it attempted to land, a Hungarian Defense Ministry spokesman said.
The pilot was catapulted and was in good condition, and he was sent to hospital for observation, Istvan Bocskai, spokesman of the Defense Ministry said.
The pilot was experienced and completed this type of maneuver many times before, he said.
Up to now, a total of three Hungarian MiG-29 military aircraft crashed. In 1998, a MiG-29 military aircraft crashed, killing the pilot. In 2005, another MiG-29 military aircraft crashed, fortunately the pilot survived.
