Czech police will help their Swiss colleagues keep order during the Czech team's EURO 2008 matches, under a Czech-Swiss declaration Czech Interior Minister Ivan Langer signed on Thursday.
Czech policemen will accompany Czech fans traveling to Switzerland, the declaration said.
The European championships will be played in Switzerland and Austria in June. The Czech team will play all matches in Switzerland.
"It is a political declaration. A similar one was signed with the German Interior Minister before EURO 2006," according to a statement from the Interior Ministry.
Swiss security bodies will try to regularly inform Czech security bodies about the situation related to the European championships, the statement said.
Similar measures will be taken in Austria where the Czech national team will be based during the tournament.
Langer signed a relevant document with Austria last November.
Czech policemen were present at previous European championships as well.
