Abbas, who has voiced hope for the success of the Moscow Middle East conference, said that he wished to discuss the perspective forum, which might contribute to the success of the Middle East settlement process.
"I am pleased to see you in Moscow and exchange opinions of the development of the bilateral relations, the regional situation and the most important problem -- the Palestinian-Israeli settlement," Putin said.
