Bosnian Foreign Minister Sven Alkalaj faced to step down for breaching decrees of the Law of Conflict of Interest, the Election Commission said in the capital Sarajevo Thursday.
An investigation by the commission revealed that between February 2007 and January 2008, Alkalaj was a paid member of the supervisory board of the VGT insurance company of Visoko, which did business with government bodies.
Alkalaj would be banned from holding any public office for the next four years, the Fena news agency quoted the commission as saying.
The commission also announced the same punishment against Deputy Defense Minister Igor Crnadak and Deputy Civil Affairs Minister Senad Sepic, but did not say whether the three officials must step down immediately. Enditem Source:Xinhua
