The Czech government has decided to allot 115 million crowns (about 7.2 million U.S. dollars) to finance Czech participation in civilian missions of the European Union and other international organizations this year, three times more than last year, a cabinet spokeswoman said on Monday.

According to the information from the Czech news agency CTK, 14million crowns will go to the Czech Provincial Reconstruction Team(PRT) in Afghanistan and 36 million crowns to finance civilian projects in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Georgia, Iraq, Kosovo, Liberia, and Palestine.

It is not yet clear to what missions the remaining 65 million crowns will go.

Last year the government earmarked 37 million crowns for civilian missions in Afghanistan, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Georgia, Iraq, Kosovo, Liberia, Moldova and Palestine. (1 U.S. dollar = 15.9722 Crowns)
