A five-day-long airport strike in Norway ended on Wednesday morning after a wage agreement was reached between unions and employers, reports from Oslo said.

The labor conflict began last Friday after talks between the country's civil aviation authority and the union failed and led to the shutdown of 12 airports and left thousands of passengers stranded.

The aviation authority and the union resumed the talks over wages and reached a deal in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

The closed airports will reopen Wednesday, but it may take sometime to normalize the traffic, the Norwegian public broadcaster NRK reported.
