Ireland should come up with a proposal to resolve the situation which evolved after Irish votersrejected the European Union's reform treaty, Hungarian Foreign Minister Kinga Goncz said here on Wednesday.
According to Hungarian News Agency MTI, during a five-party talks in Budapest, Goncz said Hungary's position is that Ireland should evaluate the situation and come up with a proposal. All members of the EU are ready to assist Ireland in that process, she said.
Zsolt Nemeth, head of parliament's foreign affairs committee said the EU should follow Ireland's recommendations once they are brought forward. Hungary must continue to support the ratification process, because the more countries adopt the treaty, the less serious the crisis will be, he said. Source:Xinhua
