Poland's Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski on Wednesday called for NATO to allow Georgia to join its Membership Action Plan (MAP).

"We should convince those who are yet undecided on accepting Georgia's bid," Sikorski was quoted as saying by Polish news agency PAP. NATO can accept the bid only under consensus among all its members.

The minister expressed the hope that the undecided nations would change their minds at the NATO foreign ministers' meeting in December.

Faced by strong opposition from Germany and France, NATO members at an April summit in Bucharest decided to postpone allowing Ukraine and Georgia to join the MAP, but promised to review their decision in December.
