The leaders of Greek and Turkish Cypriot communities on Tuesday talked single sovereignty and citizenship, two key issues for future reunification negotiations.
The two leaders "discussed the issues of single sovereignty and citizenship, which they agreed on in principle," said a statement read out by the UN Secretary General's Special Representative to Cyprus Taye-Brook Zerihoun.
They also agreed to meet on July 25 to undertake the final review of the preparatory work made by bicommunal teams of experts for the substantive talks to reunify the island divided since 1974.
