Former British Prime Minister Tony Blair will attend the fifth annual summit of the Yalta European Strategy (YES) international network, the summit organizers announced on Tuesday.

Blair is scheduled to visit Ukraine at the invitation of the organization's founder Viktor Pinchuk, a Ukrainian leading businessman.

"Tony Blair, having led one of the G-7 countries for ten years, is a man with unique experience and knowledge, global approach to the problems of the modern world," Pinchuk said.

Over 160 politicians, public figures, businessmen and diplomats from more than 20 countries will participate in the summit. Blair is expected to make a speech at the plenery session on July 12, the Interfax-Ukraine news agency reported.

The main theme of the fifth annual YES summit is to discuss modern global challenges, and their influence on Ukraine and Europe.
