The date of Austrian early election had been fixed on Sept. 28, according to Austrian Press Agency (APA) Tuesday.

The two ruling parties of Austrian, Austrian Social Democratic Party (SPOe) and Austrian People's Party (OeVP), as well as the Green Party have agreed on this date of the early election.

The representatives of two other parties, Austrian Freedom Party (FPOe) and Austrian Future Alliance (BZOe), also confirmed the date of Sept. 28 when they were interviewed by APA at the sidelines of the National Council meeting on Tuesday.

The formal announcement on the date of early election will be made on Thursday. At present, both Sept. 21 and Sept. 28 are possible dates.

After the establishment of the coalition in 2006, SPOe and OeVP often had contradictories on some issues, which resulted in delay or even impossibility to implement the on-planning and on-going reforms.

The crisis of the governing coalition was intensified at the end of June, when SPOe proposed referendum for all future possible amendments of the EU Treaty.

Head of the Austrian People's Party (OeVP) Wilhelm Molterer, who is also vice chancellor of Austria, confirmed Monday that the coalition government of OeVP with SPOe would be no more possible.
