Seven servicemen have been killed and six others wounded in an explosion in Chechnya, Interfax news agency reported on Tuesday.
An unintentional explosion of ammunition, presumably due to detonation, occurred while ammunition was being reloaded from a tank to a truck at 5:15 p.m., Interfax cited the Defense Ministry.
The Defense Minister Anatoly Serdyukov has sent a special mixed commission to the North Caucasus military district to probe into the incident.
