Prince William was involved in a British navy helicopter raid on a suspected drug boat in the Caribbean, the British Ministry of Defense said Saturday.

Prince William, 26, who is second in line to the throne, was on a Lynx helicopter and helped his crew mates on the Type-23 frigateHMS Iron Duke chase down a speedboat suspected of involvement in drug trafficking.

Prince Williams played "a sort of lookout role" and did not take part in the firing, a British ministry spokesman was quoted as saying by media.

Three Colombians were arrested in the raid.

It is the second time that the prince has taken part in an anti-drug operation. He helped his crew mates intercept a speedboat carrying 9,000 kilograms of cocaine northeast of Barbados, the Ministry of Defense said earlier this month.
