At least five people died and a further 28 were injured in a bus accident Sunday afternoon in the municipality of Oropesa del Mar, Castellon, east of Spain, the Center of Emergency Coordination said.
The accident occurred on the AP-7 highway, when the bus left the road. An air ambulance helicopter was sent to the scene.
According to Castellon Firemen Corp, the number of mortal victims could increase, and the Center of Information said that from the 28 injured people, 20 were in a grave condition.
The cause of the accident remains unknown. The highway was closed during the rescue operation.
