People traveling across London by bus faced disruption and more delays on Friday as 2,500 drivers and other workers went on strike over pay.
The 24-hour walkout, which began at 3:00 a.m. local time, will affect 80 routes and is predicted to bring travel chaos to the capital, Sky news reported.
The union of the First Capital East Buses and First Centerwest Buses, said the action will be followed by a 48-hour stoppage on Sept. 12.
It warned that other bus workers in London are also considering industrial action.
Friday's strike comes after workers rejected a four-percent pay rise and negotiations broke down.
