U.S. vice president arrives in Ukraine for official visit |

U.S. Vice President Dick Cheney arrived here Thursday, kicking off a two-day official visit to Ukraine.
Cheney is scheduled to meet with Ukrainian President Viktor Yushchenko and Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko Friday morning on Ukrainian-U.S. relations, cooperation in the energy sector and the situation in Georgia.
He is expected to voice support for Ukraine's efforts to join NATO.
The vice president's visit comes amid a political crisis in Ukraine triggered by the departure of pro-presidential "Our Ukraine-People's Self- Defense" party from the governing coalition.
