Austrian President Hein Fischer and Italian President Giorgio Napolitano held phone talks on Thursday to coordinate their stand on the conflict between Georgia and Russia.

They believed that the EU should continue to work together with Russia and build up partnership with Russia.

They said that it would be very important on the current political situation.

The leaders of both countries emphasized during the solution of the conflict between Georgia and Russia, the International Law and the pacific mode should be respected, according to an announcement published by the Office of the Austrian President on Thursday.

EU rotating president Nicolas Sarkozy will fly to Moscow on the next Monday to negotiate with Russian president Dmitry Medvedev in order to solve the conflict between Georgia and Russia.
