Turkish coast guard teams Sunday arrested 38 illegal immigrants, who were claimed to have been caught by Greek security forces in the Aegean Sea but left to Turkish territorial waters, the semi-official Anatolia news agency reported.
A Turkish fishing boat found illegal immigrants who were trying to survive in rubber boats in the open sea, said the report.
According to the report, the boat disembarked illegal immigrants on a motel's pier in Assos town of Turkey's western province of Canakkale and boat crew called the coast guard.
The illegal immigrants will be deported after legal procedures, said the report.
