Switzerland to represent Russian interests in Georgia |

Switzerland will represent Russia's diplomatic interests in Georgia, the official Swissinfo news website reported on Friday.
The Swiss government has approved an official request made by Russia and details would be discussed with Georgia and Russia in the coming days, the website quoted a government statement as saying.
Russian ties to the former Soviet republic were severed after the August war over Georgia's breakaway region of South Ossetia.
Switzerland already represents the interests of the United States in Cuba and in Iran and Cuba's interests in the United States.
