The ongoing financial crisis will not delay Poland's joining the euro zone, Deputy Finance Minister Katarzyna Zajdel-Kurowska told parliament on Wednesday.

The Polish government wants the country to meet all nominal convergence criteria in 2011, Zajdel-Kurowska said while presenting a government report on Poland's preparations for entering the euro zone in 2011.

"The nominal convergence criteria included inflation, currency exchange rate, long-term interest rate and fiscal criterion," Polish news agency quoted the minister as saying.

Zajdel-Kurowska added a roadmap for Poland's euro adoption will be presented in the coming days. "The document will envisage a schedule of most significant moves connected with Poland's preparations for adopting the euro," she added.

According to the Finance Ministry, Poland's inflation in 2010-2011 will stand at around 2.5 percent.

The minister stressed that Poland should meet the Maastricht criteria in 2011 to adopt the euro in 2012.

The year 2011 has been set as the deadline for Poland's readiness to join the euro zone.
