Air France-KLM to fly tourists stranded in Thailand back to Europe |

Air France-KLM announced Sunday that it will provide two flights Monday and Tuesday for passengers who have been stranded in Thailand after anti-government protesters occupied capital Bangkok's two airports.
The first flight will take off from Thailand's Phuket to Amsterdam Monday and the second is scheduled to leave for Paris late Tuesday, the airline said in a statement.
"Passengers having a ticket Air France or KLM can take either one or other flight," the airline said.
The airline also advised tourists to contact its Bangkok office for the transfer by bus between the Thai capital and Phuket.
The Embassy of France in Thailand said Sunday the embassy has already received 1,300 calls since airports were closed in Bangkok. The embassy inferred that the number of French could be two or three time higher, and stressed that it was difficult to provide an accurate assessment.
Anti-government protesters seized Suvarnabhumi International airport in Bangkok late Tuesday as Prime Minister Somchai Wongsawat would not resign. Tens of thousands of foreigners have been stranded in Thailand.
