Pilots of Cyprus Airways staged a four-hour strike Monday morning demanding better pay and working conditions.
About 30 flights and 2,400 passengers were affected by the strike, said Kyriakos Kyriakou, a spokesman for Cyprus Airways, the national airline.
Meanwhile, the pilots' union was holding a general assembly to decide future action regarding a collective agreement with the management.
The union argues that as Cyprus Airways has failed to implement the agreements they had signed before, the pilots refused to sign a new one this time.
Cyprus Airways described the brief strike as "unjustified" at a time the airlines is struggling to tide over the financial crisis.
The airline urged the pilots to put an end to their actions, a spokesman said.
