Polish, U.S. paratroopers hold joint exercises |

Over 40 paratroopers from American and Polish special forces are taking part in exercises staged at the 33. Air Force Base in Powidz of southwestern Poland.
The U.S. side is represented by soldiers from the Special Operation Group stationed at the British RAF base in Mildenhall, Polish news agency PAP reported Tuesday.
The U.S. soldiers flew into Poland on their C-130 Hercules planes which are to be used during the exercise.
The exercises are held in tune with the training program prepared for special forces as well as decisions regarding international cooperation, spokesman for the Command of Special Forces, major Ryszrd Jankowski told PAP.
The goal of the exercises is the improvement of cooperation among Polish and American armed forces in the war against terrorism, according to the spokesman.
