Ferenc Gyurcsany, Hungarian Prime Minister and current chairman of the ruling Socialist Party, was re-elected as party leader on Saturday.

Gyurcsany got 508 out of the total 599 votes, a support rate of 85 percent.

The party congress also elected Szekeres Imre and Lamperth Monika as standing vice chairpersons, and Mesterhazy Attila, Kiss Peter and Ujhelyi Istvan as vice chairpersons.
