The annual European Union-India summit to be held in New Delhi will focus on climate change, energy security and trade.
The one-day summit, which begins Nov. 6, will also discuss various other global issues, such as terrorism, climate change, energy security and the global financial crisis, the European Commission said Thursday.
The participants will also address questions concerning the international response to the global financial crisis and the reform of international financial institutions following the G-20 summit in Pittsburgh.
The EU and India Annual Bilateral Summit, first held in 2000, provided an apt platform for political dialogue between the two global entities and paved the way in 2004 for a concrete strategic partnership between the EU and India.
