Romanian president appoints Bucharest district mayor as new PM

Romanian President Traian Basescuon Friday appointed Bucharest District 3 Mayor Liviu Negoita as the prime minister of the country.
Basescu made the move after the parliament rejected Wednesday the cabinet of Lucian Croitoru, an economist designated last month as new prime minister by the president.
