Medvedev to attend post-Soviet summit in Belarus, visit Italy

Russian President Dmitry Medvedev will participate in a post-Soviet summit held in Belarus on Nov. 27 and pay a working visit to Italy on Dec. 3, said the Kremlin on Wednesday.
During the summit of the Eurasian Economic Community that groups ex-Soviet nations, Medvedev is expected to sign a deal on the single customs union together with his counterparts from Belarus and Kazakhstan.
The Russian government approved a draft code for the planned single customs union between the three countries on Tuesday.
The Kremlin announced the same day that by the invitation of Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi, Medvedev will pay a working visit to Italy on Dec. 3, during which he will hold intergovernmental consultations with the Italian premier.
