Helicopter crash kills two in Russia's Siberia

A helicopter ferrying oil workers to a drilling site in Russian Siberia crashed Tuesday, killing two people and injuring 14 others, authorities said.

A spokesperson for the local Emergencies Ministry told the RIA Novosti news agency that 16 people, including three crew members, were aboard the Mi-8 helicopter when it crashed in the eastern Siberian region of Irkutsk.

The helicopter, owned by UTAir airline, was ferrying Rosneft oil workers from the town of Ust-Kut to a drilling site at the time of the accident.
