UAE president, Omani sultan hold talks on bilateral relations |

President of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan held talks Monday in Muscat with Omani Sultan Qaboos bin Saeed on bilateral relations and regional issues, Emirates News Agency reported here. During the meeting, Sheikh Khalifa, who arrived at Omani capital Muscat on Sunday, expressed his country's firm determination to further consolidate "fraternal ties" with Oman, said the report. More efforts would be exerted at all levels to bolster joint constructive cooperation to achieve prosperity and ensure promising future for the UAE and Oman, Sheikh Khalifa added. For his part, Qaboos said Oman and the UAE share identical points of view on several regional and international issues of mutual interest, adding that the meeting between the two leaders will have good results in strengthening the bilateral relations for the interest and welfare of the two peoples. The two leaders also covered issues of concern for member countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and the best meansto boost interrelation among them, and exchanged views in regard to the current situation in the Arab world.
