A member of Islamic Jihad (Holy War) was killed and three others wounded in Israeli gunfire in central Gaza Strip on Wednesday evening, Palestinian medics and witnesses said.
Witnesses said that an Israeli army force rolled into the area east of al-Bureij Refugee Camp under the cover of intensive gunfire, which shot dead a Palestinian young man of Jihad and wounded three others.
Medics later confirmed that the slain was 23-year-old Mahmoudal-Haj from al-Bureij camp, who died of bleeding after he sustained gunshot in his leg.
The gunfire also moderately wounded three others, they added.
Mo'aweya Hassanein, chief of emergency in the Ministry of Health, said Palestinian ambulances were not able to reach the wounded in time amid the gunfire.
Meanwhile, Hassanein said Israeli artillery shelling at a group of Palestinians in northern Gaza also wounded four people, including one in critical condition. Source: Xinhua
