Two Palestinian militants were killed by a second Israeli shelling in northern Gaza Strip roughly an hour after three civilians were killed in an airstrike on Sunday morning, witnesses said.
The witnesses also said that a ground-to-ground missile has targeted a group of Islamic Jihad (Holy War) fighters while they were firing home-made rockets into Israel from eastern Jabaliya refugee camp in northern Gaza Strip.
At least six others were wounded in the raid, medical sources said.
Earlier this morning, an Israeli missile killed three Palestinians in the northern Gaza Strip town of Beit Hanoun, hospital officials and witnesses said.
The witnesses said an Israeli helicopter fired the rocket at a guard outpost for a factory in the town, killing the 40-year-oldguard, his 18-year-old son and a third youth.
Hospital officials said the bodies of the dead people were torn apart because of the missile. Mu'awia Hassanien, director of the ambulance service, said no weapons were found with the victims. Meanwhile, the military wing of the Islamic Jihad (Holy War)movement claimed responsibility for launching three home-made rockets at southern Israel town Sderot.
Israeli sources said that the rockets landed in Sderot and Western Negev, causing no damages or casualties.
The sources added that the Israeli army airstrike in the morning has targeted a cell that was used to launch rockets, while the Palestinian witnesses insisted that the victims were civilian guards of concrete watering places. Source: Xinhua
