Owners of Palestinian petrol distribution companies warned on Tuesday that the Gaza Strip will run out of fuel within five days because of Israeli reduction of deliveries.
"A number of minor petrol stations have closed down while others still have small quantities that can last for five days at maximum," said Mahmoud al-Khouzondar, a representative of Gaza fuel companies.
On Tuesday morning, tank trucks of Gaza's 170 petrol companies have drove in a demonstration in the Gaza Strip streets and headed towards the office of the International Committee of the Red Cross(ICRC) to brief the international staff about the affects of the Israeli procedures.
Over the past week, Israel has gradually declined the shipments of gasoline and diesel to the Gaza Strip to the half. The move is part of the new Israeli policy towards the enclave of 1.5 millions where Islamic Hamas movement rules.
In September, Israel announced the Gaza Strip a hostile entity and tightened the siege that has been imposed since Hamas took over the area by force in mid-June. Source: Xinhua
