Israeli F-16 warplanes destroyed on Thursday three houses belonging to Islamic Jihad militants who were killed in separate Israeli airstrikes in the Gaza Strip two weeks ago, witnesses and security sources said.

The security sources said that a series of airstrikes were carried out on Thursday afternoon, targeting at least six houses in the Gaza Strip, belonging to militants who were involved in launching homemade rockets from Gaza at Israel.

Witnesses said that a huge explosion was heard in southern Gaza City, adding that an Israeli F-16 warplane hit one house with a bomb. The house belongs to Karim al-Dahdouh, an Islamic Jihad militant killed in Gaza two weeks ago.

The witnesses said that another airstrike targeted the house of a senior Islamic Jihad militant who was killed last week in an Israeli airstrike in Gaza City. The house belongs to the family of Abu Marshoud in al-Mughraga neighborhood.

Ahmed Abu Marshoud and Karim al-Dahdouh were killed in two separate airstrikes two weeks ago. Israel accused both of them for being behind launching hundreds of homemade rockets from Gaza at Israel.

The Israeli warplanes continued airstrikes on militants' housesin central and southern Gaza Strip, destroying four other houses that also belong to militants who were killed recently involving in rockets attacks on Israel.

Earlier Thursday, the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) General Command claimed responsibility for launching a Russian-made Grad rocket that landed in Ashkelon, causing no damages or injuries.

Also in southern Gaza Strip, Palestinian medics reported that seven Palestinians, including three civilians were killed in an Israeli military operation east of the city of Khan Younis.

Palestinian witnesses said the Israeli army forces pulled out from the village of Bani Suhayla, east of Khan Younis, leaving seven people killed and more than 25 wounded.
