Palestinian Presidency on Thursday stressed that Palestinian and Arab stances should be united in order to cope with the upcoming challenges, mainly the resumption of peace process.
"There are big duties underway, including the negotiations that are expected in the coming months and the results of (U.S.) President (George W.) Bush's visit to the region which is supposed to leave positive effects on the peace process," Presidency spokesman Nabil Abu Rdeineh said.
President Bush's visit this month to the Middle East aims at pushing the Israeli-Palestinian peace talks which were launched as a result of the U.S.-hosted peace conference in Annapolis.
But the resumption of talks on Dec. 12 made no progress in the wake of Israeli decision not to stop settlement activities in West Bank.
Meanwhile, Abu Redineh said that President Mahmoud Abbas would visit Saudi Arabia Saturday after he paid brief visits to Jordan and Egypt.
According to Abu Redineh, Abbas' tour comes as part of the coordination with the Arab leaders ahead of Bush visit to the region. Abbas also explains the obstacles that block the progress of the peace talks.
