Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert arrived in Jordan's Red Sea port of Aqaba on Thursday for talks with Jordanian King Abdullah on the Middle East peace making efforts.
According to a Jordanian royal court statement, Olmert and Abdullah will open talks later in the day, during which they will discuss developments of Palestinian-Israeli talks being held ahead of the U.S. President George W. Bush's visit to the region.
On Wednesday, Abdullah has discussed with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas in Aqaba on Middle East peace process and ways to advance negotiations between the Palestinians and Israelis.
The two leaders urged Israel to "stop its unilateral acts that block the creation of the favorable atmosphere to ensure success of these talks which address the final status issues."
The U.S. President George W. Bush is expected to hold a three-way meeting with Olmert and Abbas when he visits Mideast region next week.
