A Qassam rocket fired into southern Israeli city of Sderot by Palestinians on Friday afternoon hit a home, causing damage to the house, and several residents suffered from shock, Israeli media reported.

According to the website of the daily Yedioth Ahronoth, a barrage of four Qassam rockets were fired from northern Gaza on Friday afternoon. Three landed in open areas and one in a private residence in Sderot.

Earlier Friday, eight mortar shells were fired by Palestinians at southern Israel. The shells landed in open areas, causing no damage.

On Friday morning, Palestinians also launched two Qassam rockets towards Sderot, but causing no injuries or damage.

Meanwhile, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) continued their operations in the Gaza Strip in an attempt to curb the rocket attacks.

The IDF killed two Palestinian Hamas militants in the northern Gaza Strip town of Beit Hanoun on Friday. The total number of Palestinians killed in the Strip since Thursday morning stands at 11, including four civilians.
