Israeli and Palestinian chief negotiators are scheduled to meet on Monday to start talks on permanent status issues, where Hamas movement in Gaza said these talks are "doomed to fail."
Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas announced earlier Sunday night that Chief Palestinian negotiator Ahmed Quriea and Israeli Foreign Minister Tzipi Levni would meet in Jerusalem to start talks on permanent status issues.
Abbas named the permanent status issues as: Jerusalem, borders, Jewish settlements, Palestinian refugees, water and security, adding "all issues have to be discussed and negotiated together at the same time."
Sami Abu Zuhri, Hamas movement's spokesman in Gaza said in a statement that "the meeting (between Quriea and Levni) is doomed to fail amid the ongoing Zionist crimes against our people, and the stubborn Zionist policy."
Hamas movement, which rejects to recognize the state of Israel or the signed agreements, had ousted President Abbas security forces and took control of the entire Gaza Strip in mid June.
"Hamas movement considers such a meeting and all other similar meetings multiply a coverage for the Israeli occupation to carry on with its crimes committed against our people," said Abu Zuhri.
He called on Quriea and Abbas "to immediately stop trading without people's rights and blood and stop such useless meetings with the enemy."
