A civilian was killed and six fighters affiliated to the Awakening Council armed groups were injured in two roadside bomb explosions in western Baghdad on Saturday, an Interior Ministry source said.
"Two roadside bombs detonated separately around midday in the Amriya neighborhood, killing a civilian and wounding six local Awakening Council group fighters," the source told Xinhua on condition of anonymity.
Several nearby shops and civilian cars were damaged by the blasts, he added.
In addition, the source said that police patrols collected two unidentified bodies in execution style from different parts of Baghdad during the past 24 hours.
Violence and daily gruesome finding of unidentified bodies continue in Baghdad despite the announcement of the U.S. and Iraqi officials about a steep drop of violence as a result of a major security plan aimed at checking the insurgency and sectarian strife in the capital.
