Three people were killed and 11 others injured in a minibus bomb explosion in Baghdad on Monday, an Interior Ministry source said.
"A booby-trapped minibus went off after midday near the UqbaBin Nafie Intersection in Karradah neighborhood in central Baghdad, killing three people and wounding 11 others," the source told Xinhua on condition of anonymity.
The blast caused damages to several nearby shops, buildings and civilian cars, the source said.
Iraqi security forces immediately cordoned off the area to secure the scene, while ambulances transported the victims to nearby hospitals, he said.
On Monday morning, a series of roadside bombs rocked the Iraqi capital, including a rocket attack targeted the heavily fortified Green Zone shortly after the U.S. Vice President Deck Cheney arrived there in a surprise visit to meet top Iraqi and U.S. leaders. Source:Xinhua
