Hamas said Monday that the Israeli siege on the Gaza Strip became unendurable, warning of an "explosion" if the crisis fails to be solved within days." Under this, we Hamas warn the Israeli occupation from delaying the lifting of the siege and reopening the crossings and stress that we will not allow the siege to remain in place for more," Hamas spokesman Sami Abu Zuhri told a news conference."

The conditions in Gaza Strip are catastrophic especially after the occupation withheld the fuel and gas supplies... Things in Gaza can not endure more waiting and delays," Zuhri added. The spokesman said Israel expanded its offensives in the Gaza Strip, calling on all parties involved to react immediately "because the situation will be subject to explosion if the crisis is not deal with in few days."

Israel sealed off crossing points to the Gaza Strip, reduced electricity and fuel supplies and banned any export out of the coastal strip after Hamas took it over by force last June. Hamas waits an Israeli response to an Egyptian-brokered ceasefire deal. Hamas, together with most of the Palestinian factions, accepted the Egypt's proposal, while the Israeli response is expected this week.
