Israeli army arrested 12 Palestinians in various West Bank cities early Wednesday, Palestinian security sources said.
About 15 Israeli military vehicles stormed the city of Nablus and broked into tens of houses, arresting at least 10 residents before withdrawing in the morning, the sources said.
Two others were arrested in similar raids into in Jerusalem, the sources added. The Israeli radio also confirmed the reports.
Meanwhile, armed Palestinian groups continued firing makeshift missiles into Israeli communities surrounding Gaza Strip.
At 7:00 am (0400 GMT), the military wing of the Islamic Jihad movement claimed responsibility for firing two rockets at an Israeli army base near Kerem Shalom crossing in southeast Gaza Strip.
In a statement sent to the media, the al-Quds brigades said the shelling was part of "the responses to the Israeli crimes against the Palestinian people."
