Israeli forces arrested 14 Palestinian in various raids across West Bank cities in Monday evening, Palestinian security sources on Tuesday said.

According to the Palestinian sources, the raids came hours after Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas and Israeli Premier Ehud Olmert held a meeting in Jerusalem on Monday afternoon to discuss peace talks between the two sides.

The Palestinian sources said the detentions took place in the cities of Hebron and Tulkarem. Israeli sources said the detainees were wanted by the general security service.

Israel arrests tens of Palestinians from West Bank almost everyday.
