U.S. soldier killed, 2 wounded in south of Baghdad |

A U.S. soldier was killed and two others were wounded in a small-arms fire attack in south of Baghdad on Monday, an Interior Ministry source said.
The attack took place when U.S. soldiers came under fire by the councilor of the municipality office in the town of Madain, some 30 km south of Baghdad, the source told Xinhua on condition of anonymity.
The attacker was then shot dead by the troops, he said.
The U.S. military has no immediate comment on the incident, but said they are checking reports.
