Israel on Sunday gradually reopened Gaza border crossings and allowed truckloads of fuels and goods into the Gaza Strip, Hamas security sources and witnesses said.
Israel on Sunday reopened the Nahal Oz crossing, the terminal allowing fuels into Gaza and the Sofa crossing for the transferring of commercial goods and food products, according to sources.
The sources said that one truckload of cooking gas, two truckloads of diesel and two of industrial diesel for the main Gaza power plant, arrived at the Nahal Oz crossing on Sunday morning to enter into the coastal Strip.
Meanwhile, Palestinian witnesses said that truckloads of goods including food products were allowed into Gaza through the Sofa crossing on the border between southeast Gaza Strip and Israel.
The Karni crossing between Gaza City and Israel, and Kerem Shalom on the border between southern Gaza Strip and Israel, remain closed.
Easing the blockade is part of a truce agreement brokered by Egypt between Israel and Hamas movement which came into effect in Gaza on June 19. It does not apply to the West Bank.
Israel closed all Gaza crossings last week after Gaza militants fired several homemade rockets at southern Israel in retaliation for the killing of one of its West Bank leaders, violating the Egyptian-brokered truce between Israel and the Palestinians.
Hamas called later for smaller Palestinian factions to abide by the ceasefire and said it would take "necessary measures" against violators.
