Turkish security forces Sunday killed three rebels of the outlawed Kurdish Workers' Party (PKK) during a clash in southeastern Turkey, the semi-official Anatolia news agency reported.
The clash occured on Incebel Mountains in Beytussebap town of Sirnak Province at 13:15 local time (1015 GMT) during an operation staged by the Turkish security forces, according to the report.
The PKK, listed by the United States and Turkey as a terrorist group, took up arms against Turkey in 1984 with the aim of creating an ethnic homeland in the southeast. About 40,000 people have been killed in the over-two-decade conflict.
