Official: Israel to release more Palestinian prisoners |

A senior Israeli official said Wednesday Israel would release more Palestinian prisoners by the end of this month as a goodwill gesture to Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas.
Mark Regev, spokesman for Prime Minister Ehud Olmert, said after Olmert's talks with Abbas in Jerusalem that "the Israeli side will be releasing Palestinian prisoners towards the end of August ... as a gesture of goodwill."
