Three workers were killed and 13 others wounded in an accident in Tuzla Shipyards Zone in Turkey's largest city Istanbul on Monday, the semi-official Anatolia news agency reported.

Workers fell into the sea when a boat's rope uncoiled from a ship in Gisan Shipyard, leaving three workers dead and 13 others injured, said the report.

A total of 61 workers have died due to various accidents at Tuzla shipyards since 2000, according to the report.
