A Lebanese army helicopter from the army air force was subjected to fire on Thursday over the hills of Sojod in south Lebanon, one officer was killed and four others wounded among the crew, local LBC TV channel reported.
The report said that the helicopter was hit by unidentified gunmen over Sojod hills in South Lebanon, then it was forced to land in Arab Salim.
The incident took place at a village in Telal Sejoud area in south Lebanon, where lies some 20 kilometers north of the Israeli border, according to the LBC.
The Lebanese army has been targeted recently. The latest incident was a bus bombing attack earlier this month in the northern city of Tripoli, leaving some 18 soldiers and civilians killed.
