Two students from Thailand's Ramkamhaeng University were shot injured during a marching protest Thursday night in Bangkok, local media here reported.
The injured were among about 100 students who were marching to Prime Minister Samak Sundaravej's residence in Buengkhum district, Bangkok, to protest against the government, according to a report by The Nation news website.
Lardprao district police chief Pol Col Somsak Bunsaeng said a man on a motorcycle shot at the students, injuring two of them, though police have provided safety along the way of the march, which started from the university.
The march was carried out after Samak's refusal to resign. In the morning, Samak delivered a radio speech, saying he would not resign despite the pressure from the People's Alliance for Democracy (PAD), a civil coalition which led thousands of people to join mass street protests against the government since May 25 and to seize the Government House last Tuesday.
